EKAG 2017 ended well for our youngsters

The European Kids Athletics Games ended well for Kurt Zahra, Kyle Caruana and Sarah Chouhal, three of our promising youngsters. Kurt Zahra won the 60m of his category, taking home gold with a super result, just 0.02 outside national category best. His efforts also managed to get him silver in the 300m, achieving a huge personal best in doing so. To top it all off, he and his teammates brought home bronze in the 4x60m relay. Kyle Caruana was part of the team that brought home bronze in the 4x60m relay and he also managed to enter the final of the shot put placing 8th place. He also did a massive personal best in the 300m.Our only girl Sarah Chouhal won silver in the 4x60m relay with her teammates. She placed 2nd in her category’s 60m Final B with a personal best and finishing 7th overall . She just missed podium in the 300m where she placed 4th with a huge personal best after dominating her heat.Well done to our athletes and all of Team Malta, MAAA for the opportunity, Martha Fitz and Mark J Farrugia for taking care of the athletes and surely Alan Zammit who was one of the keys for their sucess.
