Challenge meeting 3

Challenge meeting 3 brought about some excellent results for Rush Athletic Club. One of the most impressive results for sure was from our Sarah Busuttil in the 100m and 200m sprint double open category, winning them both and also qualifying for the Championships of the Small States of Europe. Our other Sarah, Sarah Chouhal, impressed with her 400m, managing a nearly half second personal best and ranking her on top of 400m runners so far. In the u16 girls 100m, our trio of Kayleigh Chetcuti, Sarah Chouhal and Kimahri Charles all went sub 13 seconds, placing 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. In the u16 1500m Josepha Marie Micallef won with a very impressive lead on her rivals. In the u16 discus throw Mariah was our clear winner in the discus throw. In the women’s open category for hammer throw Antonella Chouhal registered a season’s best placing 1st.

In the Men’s events we had an impressive 400m run from Krestien Micallef, running yet another personal best. Warren Zammit also performed great in the 200m , registering a personal best. Our coach Rachid Chouhal impressed in the 100m where he placed 3rd. He also won his heat in the 200m. In the U16 boys Kurt Zahra dashed home 1st in a decent time of 11.74. Kurt also won the 400m followed by Kyle Caruana who registered a personal best. Speaking of Kyle, Kyle Caruana also won the Discus throw. Well done to all of our athletes! Bring on the next.
