Challenge meeting 5

Another satisfying day for our athletes in the Challenge Meeting 5, though we had many athletes missing due to beginning of SEC exams. 

From the field Luca Martini won the open hammer this time with a senior implement throwing the implement just short of 51 mtrs, this is a highly commendable results considering he is still a Junior and was just a mtr short from open national record. On the other hand Antonella Chouhal threw a seasonal best of 46.38 mtrs just 38cm short of her own national record, making for the 2nd time the A Standard for the GSSE, unfortunately this event was scratched out from the organisers in Montenegro so she will be missing the games due to this. Kareem Chouhal won the discus U16 with a personal best of 26.99 mtrs.

From the track Kimahri Charles was the only U16 running sub 13s with a seasonal best of 12.97s, Kurt Zahra snitched some time between SEC exams to come running the 100m open in a very good time followed by evergreen Rachid Chouhal who did a seasonal best. Beppe Grillo equalled his personal best in 11.54s placing 2nd U18 after Kurt Zahra. In the 1500 mtrs open Rachel Marie Galea won the event.
